Everything, travel, all at once

Long time no post! I haven’t found projects recently that pique my interest, but this week was different.

Some quick picks this week: 1 startup and 1 resource

1) TripGenie: https://tripgenie.co/

TripGenie is a Chrome Extension for Airbnb & Booking.com (two very large websites with accommodation listings). Once installed on Chrome, it allows potential travelers to see flights alongside their accomodation listings.

It’s a niche product for sure, but I can see how a subsection of travellers or digital nomads would find this useful. It’s pre-revenue, and whoever purchases it will definitely need to put in the ground work for marketing, brand awareness and growth.

If your niche of interest is the intersection of travel and technology, this offer isn’t too ridiculously priced.

Cost: $2,500

Purchase on: Tiny Acquisitions

2) Reading Resource: The Sweaty Startup

Is Nick Huber controversial at times? Yes. Does this crowd seem to be “against” tech businesses? Yes, at times.

However, there are some useful resources. The Sweaty Startup podcast has some great nuggets. The secret to building a sustainable business is to prioritize what you care about. You can’t serve everyone, everywhere, at all times. There will always be people who charge less, do it in less time, can stay that extra 5 hours during the weekend. And that’s fine.

I definitely don’t always agree with his takes, but it’s fine to read a controversial or opposing opinion once in a while.

As always, let me know what kind of content you’d like me to feature in this newsletter! Love it when I hear from my readers 🙂
